For many people, the first day of writing is the most difficult. This kind of writing can bring up emotions and thoughts that you may not have been aware of. It may also have flowed more easily than you expected — especially if you wrote about something you have been keeping to yourself for a long time.

If your writing is something you don’t want anyone to see, you can get rid of it now: destroy the paper, tear the pages out of your journal, delete the computer files, or erase the notes from your e-book. If keeping your writing for a while is not a problem, do that. It will allow you to go back at the end of the four days of writing and analyze what you wrote. You can always destroy the writing later.

Now, take some time for yourself. Until tomorrow.
